Jaguar Lynx V12 E-type

The car has been extensively re-engineered by Lynx, with the aim of making it truly effective on the road as well on the track. The result is engineering excellence.

A modified Jaguar 7.3litre dry-sumped V12 engine running on a Weber Alpha fuel injection, which is managed by a specially programmed Zytec engine management system, powers the Lynx V12 E-type. The engine is mated to a Borg Warner T56 six-speed manual gearbox, which is connected to a modern XJ-S rear axle with up-rated limited slip differential and outboard brakes. The power output of the engine is truly awesome – 650bhp and 645lb/ft of torque!

The Lynx V12 E-type is capable of reaching 100mph (160 km/h) from standstill in a fraction under 8 seconds. Lynz claim that the civilised driving characteristics of the original car have not been lost in its development, but merely enhanced. It is as tractable and docile in city traffic as it is on the circuit at a track day.
