HP3, Bell Racing Europe’s latest Super helmet development, is an evolution of HP1 and HP2 helmets, the very first helmet in the world to meet the new FIA 8860 Standard.
Since July 1, 2004 FIA-8860 is mandatory in F1. This standard is intended to improve overall helmet performance to suit the needs of Formula 1. With the RS HP1, Bell Racing Europe was the first manufacturer in the world to introduce the "Advanced Helmet for Automotive Sport" to meet or exceed new FIA-8860 Standard. The Bell HP3 is already the third evolution of this advanced helmet and is the latest helmet developed by Bell Racing Europe's Formula 1 engineers.
