2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is getting closer

2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X
Mitsubishi has just made another step to bid the farewell to the current Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX earth-scorcher. First previewed in January as the Prototype X, the upcoming Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X ("X" stands for "Ten" in Roman digits) will be slightly less aggressive and more mainstream than the concept model.
Anyway, according to the recently revealed pictures of the preproduction model, the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will retain some of the concept's badassedness. It lacks Prototype X's LED foglights and will feature slightly different grille and front fascia but it still resembles a hungry and angry shark looking for a prey.
According to the company's press release, the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, which will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, will feature new lightweight 2.0-liter turbocharged MIVEC engine with aluminum cylinder block and a 6-speed automated manual transmission.

Europa S lotus silver car

Lotus Europa 2006 45 pr photo
In keeping with Lotus' "Business Class" theme for the new Europa, the car is more sophisticated and understated than the more in-your-face styling of the Elise. Fortunately, the higher level of sophistication is accomplished without sacrificing the kind of performance we've come to expect from Lotus - 0-60 mph in about 5.5 seconds and 0-100 in around 14 seconds.

New Kawasaki Mean Streak: Style, Power and Handling in a Cruiser

Joining the "power cruiser" melee, Kawasaki has announced the 2002 Vulcan 1500 Mean Streak. Remembering that Kawasaki starts out with one of the more advanced big-bore V-twins in the cruiser segment (i.e., a 1470cc, liquid-cooled, single overhead cam, eight-valve design with fuel injection), Kawasaki claims a conservative ten percent increase in engine performance for the Mean Streak over the "regular" fuel-injected Vulcan 1500.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX FQ-360 Sports Car

1-2007-mitsubishi-lancer-evolution-ix-fq-360.jpg
The new car announced is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX FQ-360 sports car which will be able to produce an incredible 366 of pure horsepower. That is 86 more hp than the old version of Lancer Evo which only attains 280 hp. I would like to know what's under the roof. The FQ-360 features a high-performance Mitsubishi 2.0-litre turbo engine and a tweak ECU. The Engine Control Unit which is located inside the car has been fully reprogrammed making it possible to deliver 366bhp at 6887rpm and 363ib ft of torque at 3200rpm. Did you know that both horsepower and torque play a role in performance?. Torque is the measurement on how much twisting force is at work in order to move all the components before moving the car. Torque for FQ-360 is 363lb ft which is 8lb ft more than the old version of FQ-400. If you bring this Lancer Evo IX for a drag race, you will certainly be the main attraction with 0-60mph in an estimated 4.1 seconds and top 160mph.

2008 Mitsubishi Lancer

OVERVIEW

One of the first 2008 models to land in dealer showrooms, the new Mitsubishi Lancer is a complete remake from the wheels up of the company's entry in the compact sedan class. This is not merely an exercise in dressing the previous model in a new set of threads. From sheetmetal to upholstery to mechanicals to interior trim, it's a new car.
